Emera Newfoundland & Labrador (ENL) is building and will own a
500 MW +/- 200kV HVDC transmission project between the island of
Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, including two 170 kilometre subsea cables
and approximately 300 kilometres of overhead line on the island of
Newfoundland and less than 50 kilometres of overhead line in Cape
ENL is currently seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI)
from companies with interest in supplying temporary construction
services for the construction sites in close proximity to Granite Canal,
Bottom Brook, Cape Ray, and Indian Head on the island of Newfoundland,
along with Point Aconi, Woodbine and Big Lorraine in Nova Scotia. The
scope of work may include, but will not be limited to, the following
Supply of construction trailers for Company use
Supply and install of temporary power services
Provision of washroom trailers for up to 40 during construction
Security gates and guard houses
Miscellaneous construction support services
These services will vary depending on the site.
The intent of this activity is to identify companies interested in
participating in this procurement process and to ensure the Request for
Proposal reflects applicable input from potential service providers.
Companies interested in participating in this procurement process are
required to complete and submit the EOI questionnaire to ENL by 3:00
p.m. NDT on Tuesday May 20, 2014.
