Emera Newfoundland & Labrador (ENL) is building and will own a 500 MW +/- 200kV HVDC transmission project between the island of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, including two subsea cables and approximately 300 kilometres of overhead line on the island of Newfoundland and less than 50 kilometres of overhead line in Cape Breton.
ENL is currently seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI) from companies with interest in providing Grounding Site Environmental Effects Monitoring in Newfoundland & Labrador and Nova Scotia.
The purpose of this work is to confirm the findings of the predictive modelling prepared for the Maritime Link Project Environmental Assessment (EA), in compliance with ENL’s regulatory requirements and commitments. This work will take place during the commissioning of the sites (Q2 2017).
The intent of this activity is to identify companies interested in participating in this procurement process. Companies interested in participating in this process are required to complete and submit the EOI questionnaire to ENL by 3 p.m. NST on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
