NSP Maritime Link Incorporated (NSPML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Newfoundland & Labrador Inc. (Emera NL), is engaged in the design and construction of the Maritime Link, an electrical transmission system integrating the Nova Scotia (NS) and Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) systems. In Newfoundland, approximately 300 km of transmission line will be constructed and approximately 46 km of new transmission line on the Nova Scotia side. Grounding lines will also be installed in both provinces (26 km in NL and 41 km in NS).
Emera NL is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from companies with extensive experience to provide Transport Services to move land cable (2x6 m reels weighing 30 T each), terminations and all necessary accessories from quayside in Sydney, NS to ABB’s marshalling area near Woodbine, NS. The successful proponent shall be responsible for all activities required to deliver the land cable, terminations and all necessary accessories.
The intent of this activity is to identify companies interested in participating in this procurement process and to ensure the Request for Proposal reflects applicable input from potential service providers. Companies interested in participating in this procurement process are required to complete and submit the EOI questionnaire to Emera NL by 3 pm NDT on Wednesday March 2, 2016
