Reminder of Extension Required for Extended Safety Zone

Due to winds pull-in of the second cable cannot be completed today, June 13th,  Emera NL requires the Extended Safety Zone from June 14 to June 16.  During this period there is to be no lobster harvesting or fishing-related activities in the Extended Safety Zone.  If cable laying activity is completed prior to June 16th the Extended Safety Zone will be opened to fishing activity.  We will continue to provide daily updates on the progress of cable laying activity.
