Gerry Brennan brings extensive leadership and project management experience on large-scale energy sector projects to the Maritime Link Project. As Senior Project Manager, he is responsible for the development and execution of this historic subsea electrical transmission link between the island of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

Prior to joining Emera Newfoundland & Labrador, Gerry was the Topsides Project Manager with ExxonMobil on the Hibernia Southern Extension subsea tie-back project.

Over the past 25 years, he has held progressive project management positions in Canada, Scotland, the Middle East and Asia. These include roles as the Turret and Interface Project Manager on the White Rose Project and Capital Projects Lead for Petro Canada on its Terra Nova FPSO.

Gerry worked in South Korea for the Hibernia Management and Development Company during the engineering and construction of two super modules for the Hibernia Gravity Base Structure. Additionally, he held a number of senior roles in the completion of the platform and offshore start-up of the Hibernia oil field.

Gerry started his career with Mobil Oil Canada as a facilities engineer providing project management and operation support for oil and gas production facilities throughout Western Canada.

He is a graduate of Memorial University and a Professional Engineer.
