ENL filed a comprehensive EA Report for the Maritime Link Project in January 2013.
The EA is a formal regulatory review process that all similar proposed projects
must undergo. This type of assessment is a way to review a project to
predict its environmental impact. The process is administered by law
through the federal and provincial governments to ensure that projects
proceed in an environmentally responsible manner.
The report submitted by ENL provided each jurisdiction with a complete overview of the Project and included input from aboriginal groups and other stakeholder. The report also identified mitigation measures to ensure that the Project is constructed in a environmentally appropriate manner.
