Construction of the Maritime Link started in early 2014 with the clearing of right-of-ways, and first power is forecasted for delivery in late 2017.

Project activities associated with construction of the Maritime Link included:

  • site access
  • site preparation
  • installation of transmission and grounding facilities
  • line infrastructure
  • construction of converter stations
  • construction of shore-based grounding facilities
  • preparation of seabed and laying of subsea cables

All contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers, interested in providing goods and services to the Project must complete and return a Vendor/Contractor Registration Questionnaire that will be reviewed in order to determine whether the contractor, sub-contractor or supplier can support the Project requirements.
