The Maritime Link Project will give Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador greater energy sustainability. For Nova Scotia, the Project means long-term access to more renewable energy at a stable price. The Maritime Link connects Newfoundland and Labrador to the North American electricity system, giving the province the ability to sell energy for the first time in history.
Transmission Line work on HVDC Lines for NL and NS
February 9, 2021
As part of ongoing maintenance activities for the Maritime Link, ENL will be performing work on the HVDC Transmission Line between Bottom Brook and Cape Ray.
In Nova Scotia work will be performed on the line between Woodbine and Point Aconi. This will entail travelling to all structures along the line with tracked equipment.
Work will start in Newfoundland on February 1 and mid February in Nova Scotia. It is anticipated all work will be complete by May of 2021.
For the safety of all involved, we ask that signage be obeyed in work areas and where practical, work areas be avoided.
